This is Walker. He came to us from a dire situation. He was brought into Sumter Humane Society in a laundry basket as part of a litter of 9 puppies that were only 4 weeks old. They were all infested with maggots and struggling to survive. Three of the puppies were already dead upon arrival. Unfortunately, all the other puppies in the litter were also too ill to survive, but Walker made it! He did lose an eye to maggots, but other than that he was nursed back to normal health. He now has a great home in Maine. He was a special guest at the Planet Dog Ball in Portland, has been a featured pet on the Facebook and Instagram pages of PetSmart Charities, and will be featured on AWS Strut Your Mutt promotional ads and videos! Talk about a change in fortune!
