Looking to surrender

4 things you need to know if you want to surrender a pet to us.

1. Dogs will need to be temperament tested to make sure that they are good with other dogs and show no food aggression towards people. 

​

2. We will need to meet cats and kittens to make sure that they are social enough to make all of the transitions they need to make. Feral or unsocialized cats are not a fit for our program.

​

3. We do not have a facility and can NOT take your animal from you immediately. You would need to foster the pet(s) until we could get them on a transport. Depending on the time of year and how many animals are in line on front of yours, this could be up to 8-10 weeks.

4. Even if your animal is fully vetted, we will still need to pay for some medical requirements needed to travel across state lines. We would ask for a donation of at least $25 to help offset not only the cost of medical expenses, but the cost of travel as well.

If you are not able to commit to the above, we may not be able to help.
