This is Snap. As a Great Dane, he did not have a great chance at rescue. He and another female were dropped off at a high kill shelter when his family lost their home...they were afraid they could not afford to keep their large dogs. His sister was quickly adopted, but Snap had heartworms. We could not resist that adorable face, and he came to Road Trip Home. He was treated for heartworms, had surgery to help prevent bloat (often a life threatening condition for large breeds), and was recovering. He developed severe allergies compounded by the heat here in Georgia, but fortunately his foster family took great care of him, and he finally made a special trip to Maine...delivered by his foster parents! While they were still there, Snap was adopted to a family that drove from Massachusetts to Maine just so they could meet him. From little hope to a happy ending...Snap is now living the good life!
